  Five Winds is being hosted by MEC's flagship Queens St store on Nov 30 at 4pm for a seminar on winter camping experiences. And this is open to the public on the main floor of the store. 

  Come and engage with Iva Kinkova, with her many years of winter wilderness camping adventures and experiences focusing on Ontario's backcountry. we'll be learning about equipment and methods and safety, and most of all how to enjoy winter outdoors! Let's use our opportunities to get out of the city and enjoy the outdoors!

  Come join us for a hike in a fabulous area in Durham Forest. These are trails in rolling hills next to the Oak Ridges Trail, and one of the GTA's best kept secrets!

  Bring a lunch and water, and the normal hiking stuff. Expect to be outside for 3 hours.

  Plan to meet us at 10:30 at the location below.

  Come and join us for an introduction to the winters days at Five Winds. Led by Linda and Kathy, you'll discover what to expect and how to explore the wonders of our winter wilderness. What to bring, how to prepare, and more.

  This is great for new members and a refresher for everyone else. We'll cover both backcountry skiing and wilderness snowshoeing.

  This will be at the Northern District library on 40 Orchard View Blvd (Yonge & Eglinton), Eglinton subway station.
