Snow/Trail Conditions

17 Feb 2022 12:50 PM | Anonymous member

There is still plenty of snow in the Five Winds area even though we received rain overnight.  Everything should start freezing up again this afternoon and evening, and some snow is forecast overnight and in the coming days.

We should have some really good off-trail skiing through the swamps, ponds and unbroken woods.  Trail skiing (optional depending on what the group decides) could be a bit more challenging for some as some trails may be hard packed, however, it depends how much new snow will follow in the coming days.  Either way, whether trail skiing, off trail skiing or snowshoeing, there shouldn't be a lot of hard "trail breaking".

Will continue to update the Snow Updates, so keep checking back.
